Street Food Circus has launched a new event, The Pleasure Gardens, a weekend celebration of food, family, circus, and good times, set to take place over the Summer Equinox, 21 & 22 June at Pembrey Country Park.
Street Food Circus has created a culinary journey with a lineup of award-winning street food traders representing cuisines from across the globe. Visitors can enjoy their meals at communal tables inside the Circus Big Top Diner or spread out on the lawn for Wales’ biggest picnic blanket.
The event will also host this year’s Welsh Street Food Awards, where visitors can vote for Wales’ best street food trader. The winners will go on to compete against the best in the country at the UK finals.
As well as the street food line-up, the Pleasure Gardens is a modern twist on a giant village fete, promising fun for the whole family. Activities include The ‘World’s Biggest Bouncy Castle’, Mexican wrestling, the Incredibly Clever Canine Circus, the Big Bubble Disco, Splatch Circus School, axe throwing, Kiss My Putt crazy golf, and a spectacular Saturday evening fire show finale by the Pembrokeshire Fire Spinners.
Street Food Circus founder and ringmaster, Matt the Hat said:
“As part of our ten events to celebrate our tenth anniversary, we’re thrilled to launch another west Wales event, bringing the best of Welsh street food to Pembrey Country Park. People will already know the Park for its green spaces, sandy beaches, camping and activities, but we’ll be adding our vibrant ‘feastival’ atmosphere to create a truly magical mid-summer experience.
“We’re also thrilled to be hosting the Welsh Street Food Awards again – and bringing them to a new location and a new audience. Previous Welsh winners have gone on to open their own restaurants, launch new street food businesses and win multiple awards at the British Street Food Awards,” he said.
Street food traders across the weekend at the Pleasure Gardens include:
- Burger Bros
- Bone Cartel
- Chantico
- Church Of Churros
